Childhood and early life
Dihrubhai Ambani was born into a Modh Baniya family by Govardhandas Hirachand Ambani and Jamanaben in the village of Chorwad in the Junagarh district. His father was employed as a teacher, while his mother was a housewife.
Early on, he grew up in humble circumstances and was aware of the shortcomings of the family due to his father's poor income and high spending.
During his stay at the Junagarh School, he was elected secretary-general of the Junagarh State Union. He organized a rally on Indian Independence Day, regardless of the rules of Nawab, head of state.
Then he became part of the Praja Mandal movement, which organized rallies to carry out constitutional reforms in the state. The result was the theft of Nawab in Pakistan and Junagarh as part of the Indian Union. It was his passion and active participation in politics that caught the attention of political leaders.
In 1949, a new socialist party emerged from the congress, part of which was found. For the upcoming municipal elections in Junagarh, he began to campaign for his favorite candidates, which eventually led to his victory. Although he was offered a place in the party, he refused the offer to go on the path of his true vocation.
Apart from his political activities, he focused on academics and passed his entrance exams. However, due to his father's poor health and poor family standards, he had to drop out of school and work in Aden.

In Aden he took up employment with A. Besse & Co, the largest transcontinental trading company east of Suez. The company was responsible for trading all types of products for European, American, African and Asian companies.
Curious to learn the ropes, he quickly started working for a trading company in Gujarati at the same time. Here he learned accounting, accounting and shipping documents. He has also acquired the ability to negotiate with banks and insurance companies.
Soon he devoted himself to speculative trading in all sorts of products and made profitable deals, leading his competitors to believe he had a special ability to act. Then he was transported to the oil filling station in the newly built port. Here, the considerations for the construction of a refinery have shaped his dream.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni independence movement has reduced the opportunities for Indians living in Aden. As a result, he returned to India in 1958 and began exploring business opportunities in Mumbai.

Unable to make large investments, he established himself as a spice dealer under the name Reliance Commercial Corporations.
